Everton winger Arnaut Danjuma, who is on loan from Villarreal, has emerged as an option for Lyon.
The French team also admires West Ham’s Said Benrahma, but he is also interested from Fulham.
Danjuma has made 12 appearances for the Toffees in the Premier League this season, starting just three times, but none since the 1-0 defeat at home to Arsenal in September.
The Dutch international has scored just once in his league matches for Sean Dyche’s side.
Meanwhile, Lyon are in the midst of a dismal Ligue 1 campaign that sees them sit just one place and two points above the relegation zone.

Benrahma could also prove to be the solution to their attacking woes, with the 28-year-old struggling for a start amid the emergence of the Hammers’ fearsome trident of Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen and Paqueta.
The former Brentford winger has made 12 appearances for David Moyes’ side and made a late appearance in their recent win at the Emirates against Arsenal, where he missed a penalty.
The Algeria international has also attracted interest from the Hammers’ London rivals Fulham.
