Evan Ellingson’s cause of death revealed: My Sister’s Keeper star died from accidental fentanyl overdose at age 35

Evan Ellingson died earlier this month at the age of 35 from an accidental fentanyl overdose.

The My Sister’s Keeper star was found dead in the bedroom of his sober living home in Fontana, California on Sunday, November 5.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department coroner has ruled Ellingson’s cause of death as an “accident,” with a department spokesperson confirming that is the case. People Ellingson died of a fentanyl overdose.

Shortly after news of his heartbreaking death came to light, TMZ reported that the late actor’s death was being investigated as a “potential overdose” because drug paraphernalia was discovered at the scene.

At the time of his death, Evan’s father, Michael, informed this TMZ that the late star had struggled with drugs in the past, but explained that Ellingson has fared much better in recent years.

Fentanyl does a synthetic opioid that is 80-100 times stronger than morphine and 50 times stronger than heroin.

It was created to treat cancer, but is often used for recreational use and is also added to drugs such as cocaine or heroin to increase their potency or make them more profitable.

According to DrugAbuseStatstics.orgLess than 0.07 ounces of fentanyl causes certain death, and the drug is a factor in 53 percent of overdoses.

Evan’s former co-star, Abigail Breslin, wrote a tribute to the late actor on Instagram, calling him both a “thoughtful person” and “the life of the party.”

Alongside a throwback photo taken while filming My Sister’s Keeper, the actress wrote, “Evan Ellingson was a kind, funny and extremely talented human being.”

“He played my big brother in a movie I made called My Sisters Keeper. Evan was a genuinely thoughtful person who cared so much about putting on the best performance, and he did.”

After saying the actor was “silly, funny, a prankster” and “a Red Bull lover,” she admitted: “I didn’t keep in touch with him after the movie, but he’s always been in my thoughts as a great actor. and sweet soul, someone I am grateful to have crossed paths with.’

Evan’s older brother, Austin Ellingson, previously died of a drug overdose in 2008, according to IMDB.

Evan is survived by his daughter Brooklynn, whom he welcomed that same year.

He said: ‘I never had the same childhood experience with my friends.

He was discovered at a skate park and, according to IMDB, was asked to not only skate for the Vans PeeWee team, but also to shoot a commercial for the Vans Company.
