Cris Njoki, the founder of IKOJN, a renowned Kenyan fashion brand, has shared the tragic news of her partner’s sudden passing.

In a statement on Sunday, Cris Njoki expressed her deep sorrow and the profound void left by the loss of her longtime partner and fiancé, Guillaume Durand. She however did not reveal the cause of death.

She described the deceased as an incredible father and her rock – a best friend and soulmate who enriched their lives beyond measure.

The couple had shared beautiful moments together, and Njoki expressed her eternal gratitude for the love and light that Guillaume brought into their lives.

“It is with immense sorrow, I share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of my longtime partner & fiancé. Guillaume Durand. His loss has left a profound void in my life that words cannot express. Guillaume was an incredible father, son, my rock, my best friend, and my soulmate. His love, light, and presence enriched our lives beyond measure,” Cris Njoki said in her statement.

“I am eternally grateful for the beautiful moments we shared and the love we experienced together. Your messages of condolence and support are deeply appreciated during this incredibly difficult time,” she added.

Njoki requested privacy for both of their families as they navigate the journey of grief. She encouraged everyone to celebrate Guillaume’s extraordinary life by cherishing the moments they shared with him.

“I kindly ask for privacy for both our families and myself as we navigate this journey of grief. Let us celebrate the extraordinary person Guillaume was by cherishing the moments we shared with him in his honour.

Njoki, is the creative director of IKOJN, a pop-up clothes store based in Nairobi.
