Holy Dave and his sister Joey Muthengi have opened up on life after relocating to Kenya from the United States as kids.
Unlike most people who relocate to settle in the city, Holy Dave and Joey Muthengi revealed they arrived in Kenya from the US and immediately settled in Machakos.
Speaking during an interview with Dr. King’ori, Holy Dave and his sister, Joey opened up on some of the struggles they faced.
One of them included language barrier as they did not know Swahili or their mother tongue, Kamba.

Having to fit into public village schools was also another problem but at the same time an experience that prepared them for life ahead.
According to Holy Dave school was his favourite part of relocating to Kenya. This is because he was exposed to a totally new experience and for some reason he liked it.
Holy Dave went on to reveal that having sisters made things easy for him since he would get favours from the older boys hoping to meet his beautiful sisters.
Holy Dave to Churchill
According to Holy Dave, having sisters made him cool and untouchable.
This is also how he got to meet Daniel Ndambuki in his childhood before ‘Churchill’ was even known.
Holy Dave explained that his first encounter with young ‘Churchill’ is when he (Churchill) pretended to visit him but in real sense wanted to see Holy Dave’s big sister.
He went on to reveal that despite Churchill attending the same school as his big sister, the comedian back then traced her back to their home.
“So Churchill anacome kwa gate, akiulizwa unataka kuongea na nani anasema Davie,” Holy Dave narrated.
Having not had friends at the time, Holy Dave said he rushed to the gate but upon arriving, he was rudely sent back by Churchill to get his older sister.
“Nafika hapo, akaniambia toa ujinga hapa niitie sister yako,” Holy Dave sunk to the realization, none of the boys he befriended actually liked him.
However, with time he also realized having sisters was not so bad since he would get favours and not get bullied by the older village kids.
