In another major development, a mysterious villager also overheard Charity Dingle and Mack Boyd discussing their affair, meaning Chloe Harris could learn from the betrayal.
But viewers will have to wait until Monday to see if they learn anything about the identity of any of the mystery people after being left on two huge cliffhangers.
Earlier this week, viewers learned that Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb (William Ash) had locked someone in an abandoned farmhouse after going on a mysterious journey.

The two had left the village in a hurry, claiming they were working on a car consignment deal in the Netherlands, but Moira (Natalie J. Robb) seemed unconvinced by the story.
And in Friday’s episode, she further suspected Cain was lying when Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) revealed he knew nothing about the deal.
While standing nearby, Caleb was heard telling Cain that he would keep an eye on their “house guest” but that his brother would take over later, adding to the mystery.
Later, Cain went to the farm and sensed someone following him, but was shocked to discover it was Moira.
The pair then became embroiled in an argument in which Moira told him not to lie to her, with Cain trying to reassure her that he was not hiding anything and that it was ‘just business’.
Referring to his life of crime, Moira said angrily: “If you go back in, I won’t wait for you, you’ll be alone.”
Cain asked her, “Can’t you just trust me?” but she hit back with, “Because that went so well!”
Moira then asked him about what kind of business an abandoned farm entailed, with Cain lying about planning to buy the farm for Nate.

She looked shocked and indicated that she knew who the mystery person was when she asked, “You?” as he looked at Cain in complete shock.

In their final confrontation, Charity said: “You put me in an impossible situation where I had to lie to Chloe and apologize to her all the time.”
In a hushed conversation outside the pub toilets, Mack told Charity of his plans to move to Scotland with Chloe, and begged her to keep their affair a secret.
‘What is this obsession with the truth? It’s like just dropping a bomb,” he said.
“What’s your obsession with destroying me and Chloe?” It’s not like you want me back.”
Mack then laughed as he became convinced that Charity wants to revive things, prompting her to smoke, “We’re so done!”
She added: “For the first time in my life, I’m trying to do the right thing for someone else. Chloe is a good child.’
But Mack begged, “She loves me, please Charity, give me that.”
Charity argued: ‘Don’t you dare make this my fault! We had sex, we both wanted it, quite explosive if I remember correctly.’

An unimpressed Charity then agreed to keep their affair a secret, telling him, “Okay, we’ll do it your way… I hope to God it never catches up to you, Mack.” I’m sorry, she doesn’t want to hear from me, okay?’
But as they walked away, the door to the ladies’ room gradually opened, teasing that a mysterious villager had overheard the entire confrontation.
