EastEnders fans are left baffled as Bobby misses HUGE Cindy Beale clue as Anna tries to discover her mother’s real identity
EastEnders fans were left baffled during Tuesday’s episode as Bobby Beale missed a huge clue hinting towards the return of Cindy Beale.
Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) has been desperately trying to discover the real identity of her mother, known only as Rose, and even hired a private investigator.
After viewers learned Rose is none other than Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), they have been awaiting her return, and residents in Albert Square seem to be getting close to the discovery.
But fans were left completely baffled as Bobby (Clay Milner Russel) missed a massive hint about Rose’s real identity as he helped Anna track down her missing mother.
While speaking to the private investigator, Anna handed over a silver locket with a mysterious date engraved on the back of it, with Bobby then asking to see the item.

Despite looking at the pendant, he completely failed to notice the date – December 9 1993 – is the birthday of his own half-siblings’ Peter and Lucy Beale, who are Cindy’s children.
Bobby accidentally killed Lucy after hitting her over the head with a music box in scenes aired in 2014, but he completely missed the link to her birthday on the locket.
Fans were left baffled by Bobby missing the clue as he simply told Anna the locket was ‘special’ before handing it back to her, taking to Twitter to air their frustrations.
One wrote: ‘Bobby has seen the necklace! Certainly is a special piece of jewellery… will he possibly look closer at it sometime and connect the dots?’
Another said: ‘Oh Bobby take a closer look at that locket,’ while a third tweeted: ‘How has Bobby not clocked the date on the necklace?’
A fourth penned: ‘Bobby! Look at the birth date,’ while another commented: ‘Oh s**t Bobby has seen the locket but how has he not noticed the date?’
Another added: ‘How did Bobby not recognise Lucy’s Birth date on the locket that Anna had at the PI meeting? He’d know his own sister’s birthday surely.’

Bobby is the son of Ian and Laura Beale, and he shared the same father as twins Peter and Lucy – whose parents are Ian (Adam Woodyatt) and Cindy.
Anna is yet to discover that her mother is none other than Cindy, meaning she shares the same half-siblings with her close friend Bobby.
Anna’s meeting with a private investigator came after she got into a huge row with her sister Gina (Francesca Henry) over her attempts to find their mother.
In Monday’s episode, Gina was seen buying drugs from Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) after becoming distressed over Anna’s attempts to track down their missing mother.
After learning that Gina had turned to drugs on Tuesday, Anna promised her sister that she would tell the private investigator to stand down in his search.

Their father George Knight (Colin Salmon) also asked Anna to stop searching for Rose, insisting he had tried everything over the years and it would only cause her upset.
However, private investigator Gabriel then turned up at the Queen Victoria and urged Anna to call him, insisting he had found out something hinting at Rose’s real identity.
He said: ‘I found something, trust me, you’ll want to hear this.’
It remains to be seen whether Anna will go against Gina and George’s wishes and phone the private investigator, in another step towards Cindy’s return to the Square.
