The husband of disgraced parenting blogger Ruby Franke called the police on their estranged eldest daughter two days after his wife was arrested over child abuse claims.
Ruby (41) and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt (54) were arrested on August 30 after one of her sons was found with open wounds and duct tape on his limbs.
The Mormon YouTuber, who ran the 8 Passengers page, and Hildebrant were each charged with six counts of child abuse after police rescued two of Ruby’s six children.
Both children appeared to be malnourished when they were found by authorities on Aug. 30 at Hildebrandt’s property in Utah. Police officers then raided Ruby’s home nearby to locate her other children.
Ruby’s husband, Kevin, called the police on September 1 and claimed their eldest daughter, Shari (20), had broken into the house and taken several items.

He told officers he wanted her arrested for burglary, with police “responding by phone” to Kevin Franke, according to an incident report obtained by Fox News Digital.
The police report said: ‘Kevin stated that Shari was not allowed in the house, and that he believed she had entered illegally and he wanted her charged with burglary.’
However, Springville Police Department admitted responsibility for the broken door and explained to Kevin that it was damaged when the search warrant was served.
Shari posted on Instagram about her mother’s arrest, sharing an image of police officers outside the house with the caption ‘Finally’. She revealed in April that she had cut contact with the family.
In an Instagram story following her mother’s arrest, Shari celebrated her mother’s arrest, saying she had “been trying to tell the police and CPS about this for years.”
Shari also said that she is ‘so glad they finally decided to act’ and that her siblings are safe. Kevin has never been charged in connection with the abuse.
Kevin told police that the front door of his home had been ‘kicked in’ and damaged, with some electronic items missing – claiming it was his eldest daughter who had broken in.
But he ‘wants his daughter to be charged with theft for taking some hard drives from the house’, with officers telling him she ‘wasn’t aware’ she couldn’t have them.

The popular YouTuber was arrested last month along with her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt and charged with six counts of child abuse after one of her sons was discovered with open wounds and duct tape on their limbs.
Shari returned the items – three tablets, three mobile phones, three cameras, journals and three passports – to the Springville police station. Officers then returned them to her father.
Kevin reportedly threatened to sue the police department after they refused to charge his daughter with any crime.
Police said Shari’s intention was ‘not to deprive him of any items, she had been allowed in the house before, and admittedly he had not been in the house for 13 months.’
Ruby’s family previously told DailyMail.com that she should be ‘put away forever’ if found guilty of the abuse.
Her sisters-in-law Cynthia and Jennifer Franke say they believe the allegations of abuse against the mother of six and say they are ‘shocked’ and ‘sickened’.
Ruby earlier made astonishing allegations during a court hearing that one of her minor children had sexually abused one of their siblings and other children.

The Mormon mother broke down at times when she made shocking allegations that one of her minor children sexually abused their sibling and molested several other family members and children in the neighborhood over the years.
Ruby appeared to blame her children for her behavior and went into horrific detail about how one of her six children abused other children.
In one of the most shocking claims, Ruby said her child had been sexually abusing a younger sibling for years, adding that the two of them eventually started abusing other children.
She also claimed her two children were playing a ‘knock’ game with each other, but did not go into further detail.
Ruby said her child confessed in May to sexually abusing 20 people, including cousins and neighbors. She has not provided any proof of her sick claims.
Her strict parenting style has faced repeated backlash since she started the channel in 2015.
Viewers called child protective services in 2020 after their son Chad, 15, claimed he slept on a bean bag for seven months.
She also threatened to stuff her children’s items if they didn’t pay her cash for them, claiming it was a lesson in understanding the value of their stuff.
Both Franke and Hildebrant have previously been criticized for their teachings on parenting – along with Hildebrandt’s life counseling service ConneXions.
