Della Anole ward MCA Yussuf Hussein Ahmed was on October 22 found dead in Lake Yahud, Wajir County, over a month after his abduction.
His body, discovered in a badly mutilated state, showed signs of torture, beatings, and burns. Family members identified the body at the Wajir County Referral Hospital morgue, confirming the grim reality.
Eyewitnesses shared chilling details: “His eyes had been gouged out.”

On September 13, Ahmed was reportedly abducted by armed men while traveling along Enterprise Road in Nairobi. He was on his way to Pangani from South C when his vehicle was intercepted.
Witnesses saw him forced into one of two black Toyota Prados, and he was not seen again until his body was found weeks later.

Senior Superintendent of Police Justus Imaana admitted that despite efforts, they were unable to obtain crucial CCTV footage from key locations along the abduction route.
“We sought assistance from various sources, but the Internet Crime Complaint Centre (IC3) denied our request for footage,” Imaana revealed.
Without reliable video evidence, authorities found it difficult to track the vehicles’ movements after the abduction. Imaana added, “We cannot speculate which roads the Prados took after the incident,” leaving investigators in the dark about where the assailants may have taken Ahmed.
The abduction sparked immediate concern, but there were no leads for weeks. Though some relatives held hope, their fears were confirmed when Ahmed’s body was found in Lake Yahud.
Authorities are still waiting on call records that could shed light on Ahmed’s communications before his abduction. This delay has frustrated his legal team, who fear justice is being stalled.
As the investigation continues, many questions remain unanswered: Who orchestrated the abduction?
And why was Ahmed killed?
