Two Wyoming teens accused of shooting up a kindergartener are on the run in a stolen $100,000 Chevy Chevelle.
Otis Edlund and Quintin Wyrick, both 16, are believed to be traveling more than 1,400 miles from Lander, WY to League City near Houston, Texas, while armed.
Amarillo police in north Texas on the route released photos of the couple and warned that they had been “made aware of a threat to preschools.”
They are accused Thursday of stealing guns and a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle with a rear end, a black stripe on the side and Wyoming license plates, police said.
A woman who identified herself on Facebook as Edlund’s aunt suggested the car was a family car.

They are driving a white 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle with a rear end, a black stripe on the side and Wyoming license plates, police said
“This vehicle is extremely difficult to drive (in) these road conditions,” she wrote to a community group, according to Cowboy State Daily.
‘They’re going to need a LOT of gas! Please pay attention to the road, in ditches, at gas stations. The families are very concerned,” she said.
Amarillo police released photos of Edlund, a 6-foot-1 white teen with long brown hair, and Wyrick, a 6-foot-1 white teen with short brown hair.
“This specific threat does not mention a specific child care facility in the Amarillo area, or any other city for that matter, but only refers to Texas,” the department said.
“However, we understand that this information may cause concern and we would like to reassure the community that we are taking all necessary precautions.”
“We are using the information from Wyoming to monitor the subjects and have found that there is no immediate threat in our city at this time.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and update with new information.”
