Also on the cover with the diva were Diane Lane and Chloe Sevigny.

The trio seemed to be dressed in an homage to Truman Capote’s infamous black and white ball, a fitting theme as the article is focused on their work in the upcoming series Feud: Capote Vs The Swans.

Demi, 60, who wowed recently when she attended Milan Fashion Week, was  reminiscent of the dress Audrey Hepburn wore as Eliza Doolittle in the film My Fair Lady.

The Brave New World star’s hair was pulled back in a sleek bun and she wore a matching wide brimmed hat.  A collar made of red silk roses was designed to gently frame her face.

The Emmy nominee wore natural looking makeup with a muted lip, and she brought her beloved pooch, Pilaf, to the shoot.

Demi, Diane, and Chloe are starring alongside Naomi Watts and Molly Ringwald in the series, which has been developed by Ryan Murphy.

It focuses on writer Truman Capote and the group of New York socialites he referred to as the ‘Swans.’

‘They were like the original Real Housewives,’ Ryan told the outlet.

‘That’s something now that people are obsessed with.’

All of the actresses’ interviews were conducted before the current SAG/AFTRA strike.

Demi stars as Ann Woodward, who was a friend of the In Cold Blood author for years before he betrayed her secrets, and those of others, in his short story La Côte Basque, 1965, which was published in Esquire.

The copy implied that Ann, who had fatally shot her husband, saying she thought he was a burglar, had actually shot him on purpose.

Once the story was published, she and many of Truman’s elite friends dropped him like a hot potato.

For Demi, the attraction to the project wasn’t necessarily the scandal, but the author’s contribution to another beloved book.

‘I had a general awareness of Truman betraying these close friends who really were his entrée into this world that he so desperately wanted,’ the Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle star explained.

‘But I didn’t know the details. I was more aware of and intrigued by the idea that he is the inspiration for Dill in To Kill a Mockingbird. I have a daughter named Scout, so obviously that book has real importance to me.’

For a more modern look, Demi was dressed in a loose fitting white Valentino shirt dress with a collar and mock tie.

The flowing frock featured sly, but sexy cutouts at the shoulder.

Her long, dark hair cascaded down her back and the only pop of color seemed to be the actress’ bright red nail polish.

During the photo shoot, the Ghost star was styled in a very Capote-like cream toned suit with a fitted jacket, vest and high waist slacks.
