Cynthia Nixon ‘worried’ about fan reaction to Kim Cattrall’s ‘And Just Like That’ cameo

Cynthia Nixon has laid bare her one concern ahead of Kim Cattrall’s hotly anticipated cameo in Season 2 of “And Just Like That.”

The “Sex and the City” alum, who found fame starring as career-focused lawyer Miranda Hobbes, has issued somewhat of a warning in a desperate bid to manage expectations.

“I worry that with all the build-up people are going to wonder what all the fuss was about. It’s important to know that it is a very brief, very small cameo,” Nixon told Sunday Times Style.

Cattrall, who initially refused to star in the rebooted series after her feud with co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, delighted fans when it was revealed by The Post that she’s stepping into the shoes of Samantha Jones for a fleeting return.

“We were very disappointed that the secret leaked of Kim’s upcoming appearance,” she told the outlet of her former co-star’s shock return as the beloved PR guru.

“We so hoped it was something people wouldn’t know about until they saw the episode and that it would be a fun surprise as they were watching.”

Cattrall recently revealed on “The View” that she made a few demands to make her cameo happen.

“It’s very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO saying, what can we do? and I went, ‘Hmm. Let me get creative,’” Cattrall shared.

“And one of those things was to get [costume designer] Pat Field back, because I just thought that if I’m going to come back I gotta come back with that Samantha style, I gotta push it. And we did.”

Field, who was the costume designer for the original “Sex and the City” series as well as the two spinoff movies, agreed to dress Cattrall for her cameo.

The pair, who are good pals, are also working together on her new Netflix series, “Glamorous.”

Samantha’s absence was addressed in the first few episodes of “And Just Like That,” where Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis made it known that Cattrall’s character now lives in London following a falling out with SJP’s Carrie Bradshaw.
