Couple charged with 5 counts of bestiality over 12-month period — alleged incidents captured on video

A Queensland couple have been charged after allegedly engaging in a series of sex acts involving dogs.

Crystal May Hoare, 37, and Jay Wade Veenstra, 28, are charged with five counts each of bestiality.

The Courier Mail reports that the charges were mentioned for the first time at Sarina Magistrates Court on Monday.

Police will allege that the incidents, which they also allege involved two dogs, were captured on video.

The legal proceedings have been adjourned, with a committal mention set to take place later this year.

In accordance with the legal statutes of Queensland, individuals found guilty of bestiality can face a potential prison sentence of up to seven years.

The case will need to be elevated to a higher court before any legal actions can be taken.
