A Bobcat driver went on rampage in a Nebraska parking lot, ramming a police car and crashing into other vehicles as helpless customers looked on.

Shocking footage shows the driver chasing cars around the Home Depot lot and trying to hit them, picking up an SUV and dropping it on another car and shattering the glass doors of a liquor store.

When police arrived, the driver turned on them, plowing into them and pushing the car across the icy terrain with an officer still inside.

The officer then jumped out of his cruiser and pulled out his gun, pointing it at the driver until he stopped, climbed out of the skid steer and was taken into custody.

Samuel Peyrot, 36, of Lincoln, was arrested after the incident for second-degree assault on an officer, second-degree assault and criminal mischief.

The disaster left a trail of destruction, with one man suffering minor injuries and several cars damaged.

When police arrived, the driver stopped his rampage to turn on them.

Shocking video of the attack shows the driver maneuvering the Bobcat’s shovel to window height before charging towards the police car.

He crashes into the vehicle from the side, pushing it several meters across the icy ground before coming to a stop. He then retreats as if to commit another attack, but the officer jumps out of the car and pulls a gun on him to force him to stop.

It is not clear what caused the suspect to take action.

Officers said the driver also damaged the exterior of two businesses.

Another video shows the Bobcat driver terrorizing a white pickup truck.

He chased the driver across the parking lot with his shovel held menacingly in the air. The truck drives away in a small circle with the excavator in pursuit.

But the pickup managed to avoid the loader and escaped the parking lot before it could be hit.

Another woman was not so lucky: when she returned to her car, she found it had been smashed into pieces.

She shared footage of the attack online, saying: ‘Well this just happened to my car. A man on a Bobcat in Lincoln. It was intentional.”

In the video, the driver picks up her car from the back and lifts it up before dumping it on the hood of another SUV.

The car bounces a few times before scraping the hood as someone shouts “what the fuck.”

Then he turned around, seemingly satisfied with his work.

The woman added: “Hunter had the car and they were eating inside and the guy just picked him up and put him on the other car and left.

“Update: It appears they arrested the man in the Home Depot parking lot. He damaged a number of vehicles there and lifted part of a police car off the ground with an officer inside.

“It ended up taking about five officers to get him out of the skid steer.”

The videos received mixed reactions online, with one user seeing the funny side and commenting, “Just the average Home Depot experience.”
