Communication Authority of Kenya Director Ezra Chiloba has threatened to take action to any TV and Radio station that will violate his today’s orders amidst mehems saying his wrath will be fast and swift.
In his directive, Mr. Chiloba has called on all Kenyan broadcasters to provide equitable coverage and opportunities to all happenings.
He has also urged the broadcasters to ensure that broadcasting platforms are not misused to propagate hate speech, or to incite people to violence among others. Adding that it is the duty of media houses to gather present news and information accurately and impartiality.

He has also urged the media houses to guard against transmission of ‘fake news or misleading information during this period reminding them of Part IV (22) of the Broadcasting Regulations.
He noted that the Authority shall take the necessary regulatory action to ensure compliance in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law.
