The DCI recently identified Collins Jumaisi Khalusha as the serial killer responsible for dumping numerous bodies in an abandoned quarry near Kware Police Station in Mukuru kwa Njenga Slums. DCI boss Mohamed Amin announced that Jumaisi confessed to killing 42 women. On Thursday, nine mutilated female bodies were found in sacks secured with rope, followed by three on Friday and two on Saturday.
Jumaisi lives approximately 500 meters from the dumpsite. The bodies were discovered after relatives of a missing woman dreamed that her sister’s body was in the dumpsite.
Collins Jumaisi Mother in Law Speaks
Jumaisi’s killing spree began in 2022, allegedly starting with his wife, Imelda Judith Kamenya. The motive reportedly stemmed from anger over her mismanagement of two businesses he had opened for her.
Imelda Judith Kamenya’s mother recently came forward to share details of her daughter’s disappearance and how she learned of her death.
At the DCI Headquarters in Nairobi, Jumaisi’s mother-in-law discussed her ongoing communication with her daughter over the years.
However, in 2022, her daughter abruptly stopped responding to WhatsApp messages and subsequently disappeared.
“She used to be online and could chat with others, but her account became dormant in 2022. Today, I learned she was murdered,” she said.
Collins Jumaisi has killed over 40 women in the same manner—strangling them, dismembering their bodies, and dumping them at the quarry site.
On July 15th, Collins Jumaisi was arrested at his residence near Mukuru quarry.
During a search of his home, police found mobile phones, identity cards, a machete believed to have been used in the crimes.
Industrial rubber gloves, rolls of adhesive tape, and several nylon bags similar to those used to conceal victims’ bodies were also found.
Collins Jumaisi is expected to be arraigned in Court today.
