CNN host Wolf Blitzer nearly vomits on-air: Producers cut to commercial after pale-looking host was seen retching and swallowing in the middle of interview

CNN’s 75-year-old host Wolf Blitzer looked pale and gagging on camera as he hosted his show, forcing the network to abruptly forgo a commercial break.

Blitzer was on the air with House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D., Maryland) when he swallowed uncomfortably and looked nauseous as he tried to avoid vomiting.

The Situation Room host struggled to contain himself for a full minute before CNN cut Blitzer’s feed and left Raskin to finish his final remarks himself.

As Raskin continued his remarks, vomit-like sounds could be heard in the background.

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, 75, was on air with House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D., Md.) when he swallowed uncomfortably and looked nauseous as he tried to keep from vomiting.

Just before Raskin’s segment could end, CNN quickly jumped into a commercial.

As the commercial ended, CNN’s chief legal correspondent Paula Reid appeared on screen and told viewers that Blitzer would return soon.

“Wolf had to go, he’ll be back,” she said.

However, Blitzer did not return to host the rest of the show.

CNN reported it later The Washington Post: ‘Wolf did not feel 100 percent while anchoring on Thursday evening.’

Concerned fans soon took to social media to inquire about Blitzer’s health and the host confirmed he was better on X.

‘I’m fine! Thanks for the get well wishes. I’ll see you in the Situation Room soon,” the political presenter tweeted.

Blitzer hosted The Situation Room for 18 of his 33 years at CNN.

In 2016, he also moderated CNN’s Republican Presidential Primary Debates in Las Vegas, Nevada and in Houston, Texas.
