If you frequently visit social media pages you must have come across Wachuka Muchendu at some point. She is a popular Kikuyu musician who is always well grounded to be distracted by naysayers. Some hours ago she was live in an interview where she talked about her music career and her love life.
Talking about music, she started after joining college around 2019 but unfortunately she didn’t have money to continue with college and she dropped out. She therefore moved and started living with her cousin who accomodated her and that was when she released the first cover song. When she was asked why she left church and started singing in clubs.
She said that the church has the most mean people and all they were doing is to tell her how she is talented but nobody helped her. Immediately she stated singing Kikuyu secular songs and she was performing in clubs everything changed and she would meet people who were ready to support her talent.
