Chris Wilder launched a scathing attack after discovering his Sheffield United starting XI is leaking hours before kick-off.
Ahead of their crucial Boxing Day clash against fellow strugglers Luton, the Sheffield United manager said: ‘I think it’s a joke. Whoever did it, there will be something else because they are damaging the football club.”
Mail Sport understands that the Blades starting XI for recent games have been forwarded on WhatsApp and other social media platforms on the morning of the games.
Team lineups are usually announced an hour before the match.

Asked about missing out on Jayden Bogle, who is suspended for Tuesday’s match at Bramall Lane after picking up his fifth booking of the season in the draw at Villa Park, an irate Wilder said: ‘Everyone will leave the team (for Boxing Day ) because it will appear on Twitter around half past nine in the morning.
‘I’ll comment on it. It’s quite difficult to keep the team quiet, but I’m not happy with that situation.
“Whoever did it, I appreciate that. Thank you very much. I need to tighten everything up around the training ground. It’s a lesson learned for me too.
“That person who did it. Call yourself a Sheffield United fan? I don’t think they are. It’s an absolute joke.’
