Child dies after visiting Glasgow trampoline park

A child has tragically passed away after visiting a trampoline park in Scotland. Police disclosed that the child became unwell just before 11am today. The child was transported to the hospital but was pronounced dead due to causes that remain unexplained.

They advised the public to monitor their social media for reopening updates.

One mother commented, expressing her sorrow and empathy for the affected families and staff, as she had planned to bring her 3-year-old and 11-year-old to the park. Another visitor noted the heavy police and ambulance presence at the Rutherglen centre, describing the scene as alarming.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that the incident occurred at a location on Southcroft Road, Rutherglen, shortly before 11:00am on Sunday, 18 August 2024. The child was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children and was declared deceased. The death is currently treated as unexplained, with no suspicious circumstances suspected.
