CBBC stars Dick and Dom have got a completely new career since leaving their children’s TV presenting roles
Children’s presenter legends Dick and Dom have made an unexpected career change since leaving their iconic TV bungalow.
Faces of CBBC in the 2000s; Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood’s genre of entertainment has grown up with their audience with the pair touring festivals and nightclubs as headline DJs.
The comedy duo won a BAFTA in 2004 for the programme which made them household names – Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow.
Dick and Dom’s official TikTok account has become a portfolio of their best moments playing at underground clubs, festivals, and even having travelled to the Maldives to perform a set.
Since stepping away from the roles which made their names, Dick and Dom have graced stages at Glastonbury, Boomtown, and Standon Calling.

And the reaction to their career change has been overwhelmingly positive, with one Twitter user saying their ‘life peaked’ after seeing the stars DJ in 2020.
Another said: ‘Not even joking Dick and Dom DJ set was the best night out I’ve ever had.’
However, there is no need to worry if you thought that your favorite childhood show is fading into obscurity.
Da Bungalow’s legacy is alive and well with Dick and Dom doing a live tour for the show in April and May 2023, just before they launched into festival season.
They were joined by former costars Melvin Odoom, Dave Chapman, and Ian Kirby, who followed the double act through much of their career.
After entrenching Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow in the hearts and minds of a generation from 2002 to 2006, many of the same faces would appear in The Legend Of Dick And Dom (2009 – 2011) and Diddy Movies (2012 – 2014).
The title stars themselves would also go on to host Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old? (2007 – 2010), Splatalot! (2011 – 2013), and Absolute Genius (2013 – 2016).
