Buffalo Bills safety Taylor Rapp left the field in an ambulance at Highmark Stadium on Sunday night during the game against the New York Jets.

Rapp, 25, tripped and fell to the ground after colliding with teammate Taron Johnson during the second quarter of the game.

The safety was transported onto the field in the back of an ambulance, but he appeared to be moving his hands in a positive sign.

Rapp suffered a neck injury, but did not have to be taken to the hospital, according to CBS.

With 1:10 left in the first half, New York running back Breece Hall hauled in a short catch and took it 15 yards before both Rapp and Johnson went in for the tackle.

As the two Bills players tackled Hall, they collided, with Johnson initially left down after the play.

Rapp stood up as Bill’s staff ran from the sidelines to watch Johnson. The safety ran off the field and away from the scene before appearing to lose his balance and stumble.

He began to crouch before falling to the ground, which caught the attention of Bills trainers. He received medical attention on the field before being dragged onto a stretcher and taken into the back of an ambulance.

Johnson was checked on the field by trainers before he could get up and jog to the locker room.

The Bills later confirmed that Rapp had been ruled out of the game due to an unspecified neck injury, while Johnson was also out with a concussion.

The scary scenes come ten months after the Bills suffered another terrifying incident when Damar Hamlin was also transported off the field in the back of an ambulance.

Hamlin, 25, collapsed on the field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Jan. 2 after taking a hit on Tee Higgins. He went into cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated on the field by athletic trainer Denny Kellington and Buffalo staff.

Hamlin miraculously recovered from the near-death experience and television coverage panned to him as he stood on the sidelines as the Bills watched anxiously.

Earlier this season, the Bills suffered another eerily similar experience when running back Damien Harris lay motionless on the field after suffering a neck injury against the New York Giants.

Harris was taken to a nearby hospital before Buffalo announced he had full movement of all limbs. However, he remains on the injured reserve list indefinitely.

Play resumed against the Jets on Sunday, with the Bills leading 16-6 at halftime.
