Bill Nye, 68, channels his inner supermodel while posing in streetwear for epic photo shoot as he gears up for solar eclipse: ‘It will change your life’

Bill Nye, the Science Guy, gave supermodels a run for their money with his epic photo shoot Time out New York.

The 68-year-old TV star posed like a pro in several daring outfits as he talked about the upcoming solar eclipse in the latest issue published on Monday.

“The Eclipse is Nye,” read the cover headline, with the iconic scientist sporting a vibrant orange puffer vest, sleek matching sunglasses and loose cargo pants.

In a subtle nod to the celestial event, Nye wore a T-shirt with an image of the solar system and paired it with a Versace cardigan. ‘

‘Don’t miss this eclipse. It’s a big problem. The next one isn’t for another 20 years,” he told the outlet, referring to the moon that eclipsed the sun on April 8. “You don’t know where you’re going to be or if you can be there. . So catch this one.”

In another striking snapshot, Nye, wearing sunglasses, stares upward, echoing the gesture millions of Americans will soon make during the solar eclipse.

“On Monday, April 8, the moon will pass between the sun and Earth, completely blocking out the sun,” Time Out New York captioned the photoshoot on Instagram.

“In preparation for the celestial event, we spoke with Bill Nye (@billnye) to get answers to all our burning eclipse questions and his top reviews for seeing it in New York City.”

In the interview, Nye encouraged enthusiasts to “drive down the road that day, that afternoon” to witness the eclipse along the vast, 115-mile-wide path of totality, which stretches from Mexico to Canada.

“If you’re not quite on the path, it’s not quite the same,” he added.

On Monday, April 8, the sky will briefly darken as the moon obscures the sun, plunging parts of North America into temporary darkness.

“You’re talking three minutes and 18 seconds… it will change your life,” Nye said.

When asked about expectations for the upcoming total solar eclipse, Nye explained how the event continues to capture everyone’s attention.

‘We just wonder where we come from. We wonder about the cosmos and our place in it.

‘Everyone does. Everyone is wondering if there are other people on other planets or on other stars, wondering if we are here and back.’

Nye, who starred in the beloved children’s series Bill Bye the Science Guy from 1993 to 1998, said he hopes his young fans will pause and think about their place in the cosmos.

‘How remarkable it is that we understand the motion of the Earth and the moon so accurately.’
