Bill has attended a number of games to watch his son, including the Final Four in Houston last year when UConn won their fifth national championship game.

Luke Murray has been an assistant coach under head coach Dan Hurley for several years – including when Hurley coached at Wagner and Rhode Island before arriving at UConn – and is one of the top college basketball recruiters in the country.

On Friday, the Huskies began their title defense with a matchup against Stetson University in the opening round of March Madness.

UConn led the Hatters 52-19 at the end of the first half.

By the end of the first interval, the Huskies were shooting 68.8 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range.

Transfer guard Cam Spencer had a team-high 13 points, while star center Donovan Clingan added 12 points.

Defensively, they held Stetson to an 8-of-26 shooting line (30.8 percent) and just 1-of-10 from three-point range.

UConn would move on to play Northwestern in the second round of the tournament barring a monumental collapse.
