Bijou Phillips shared insights on how she is coping with her ex-husband Danny Masterson’s rape conviction and prison sentence last year.
Speak with E! News at the Janie’s Fund charity event on Sunday, the 43-year-old actress said: ‘I’m doing well.’
She added that she and their daughter Fianna, who turns 10 on February 14, make a “great little team.”
This comes after news broke that Masterson has been sent to the same California state prison where Charlie Manson stayed: Corcoran State Prison.
Danny was convicted of raping two women in May 2023 and sentenced to 30 years to life in prison in September 2023.
After the conviction, Phillips filed for divorce from the former That ’70s Show star, and he agreed to give her full custody of their child.

The public appearance marked Bijou’s first return to the red carpet after her tumultuous year.
She was in good spirits as she attended Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler’s annual event, held at the Hollywood Palladium.
It came days after an exclusive Ny Breaking report revealed she was ‘triggered’ by her ex-husband’s move to a maximum security prison.
For the star-studded occasion, she wore a plunging black dress with a sheer, softly pleated skirt.
The look was finished with a black leather biker jacket and her curly dirty blonde hair was worn loose.
The mother-of-one completed the ensemble with a bold red lip stain.
Phillips married Masterson in 2011 and filed for divorce in September 2023 as he began his sentence at North Kern State Prison.
He was recently transferred to Corcoran State Prison in Central California, which has reportedly taken an “emotional toll” on Bijou.

“The move Danny made to his new prison was very triggering for Bijou and stirred up emotions from the past that she is still trying to deal with,” the insider said.
‘She has been able to go out and also go on holiday, which has been a relief from the stress of being able to live a somewhat normal life again, but it still hurts her inside that her life has been changed forever.’
The source continued, “It’s going to get better, but it’s also going to take forever to heal from everything.”
‘She’s had a very stressful life dealing with this and what her father was accused of. It has been an emotional toll that has taken her to places of extreme stress and heartache. It will remain that way for a long time,” the person said.
In September 2009, Bijou’s sister Mackenzie alleged that she and their father John Phillips had an incestuous sexual relationship for ten years from the time she was 19.
Bijou defended their father, who died in March 2001, and said in an interview at the time: ‘I’m 29 now. I spoke to everyone who was around at the time, I asked the difficult questions. I don’t believe my sister. Our father (was) many things. This isn’t one of them.’
