Bachelor star Keira Maguire, 37, dons ankle weights just minutes after admitting to assault at The Osborne Rooftop Bar in South Yarra

Keira Maguire has admitted to assaulting a person during a ‘heated moment’ that landed her in court.

The 37-year old reality star appeared on Thursday in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court via videolink where she admitted to a charge of recklessly causing injury.

She had attempted to dodge coming to court altogether but was made to front by Magistrate Olivia Trumble.

Daily Mail Australia spotted her shortly after her court ordeal as she popped out without seemingly a care in the world for a coffee in ankle weights.

Represented by former gangland lawyer Zarah Garde-Wilson, the court heard Maguire injured her victim with a glass.

‘The glass didn’t break,’ Ms Garde-Wilson assured.

But Magistrate Trumble refused to read aloud a summary of agreed facts, dismissing Daily Mail Australia’s submissions that the summary would help the public better understand the circumstances of the charge Maguire was admitting to.

In June, the Herald Sun reported the Melbourne influencer threw a drink at a patron while dining at a popular bar in South Yarra.

The publication claimed Maguire was with friends in a booth at The Osborne Rooftop and Bar in South Yarra when she allegedly had an altercation with a woman in an adjoining booth.

It’s believed Maguire allegedly threw her drink on the woman about 10.45pm.

Former Love Island Australia winner Anna McEvoy said she saw the aftermath of the alleged attack.

Maguire was reported to have been allegedly involved in an altercation in March that saw a drink get thrown over a customer at The Osborne Rooftop and Bar in South Yarra, Melbourne.

Anna McEvoy, a former Love Island contestant, said on her podcast Where’s Your Head At? that she witnessed the aftermath of the alleged altercation.

McEvoy described the incident as ‘wild’ and ‘unhinged’.

‘I didn’t see it happen but I was very much there, I saw the aftermath and I was in shock,’ she said.

Ms Garde-Wilson said the incident happened after a ‘very heated moment’ between her client and the victim.

‘She’s extremely embarrassed being brought before the court and it’s highly out of character for her,’ she said.

‘It was the lead-up to an incident that night with a lot of antagonising comments being made towards her. She acknowledges she should have just walked away and she’s now in court in relation to that.’

In pleading for leniency, Ms Garde-Wilson told the court Maguire had previously worked as a real estate agent but now worked full-time in ‘online marketing’.

Maguire rose to fame on Richie Strahan’s season of The Bachelor in 2016, before appearing on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Bachelor in Paradise.

In 2021, she revealed Instagram was her only source of income during an SBS program.

Keira has 133,000 Instagram followers, and regularly uses the social media app to promote brands and products.

Magistrate Trumble agreed to deal with Maguire through the court’s diversion program.

Under Victorian law, diversion plans are often handed down to first-time offenders and are designed not to impact on a person’s life going forward.

Under the diversion plan, Maguire was not required to formally plead to the charges and instead simply made admissions to the charged offence.

The court heard Maguire had no prior criminal record leading up to her court appearance on Thursday.

Magistrate Grumble sentenced Maguire to a six-month good behaviour bond and ordered she write a letter of apology to her victim.
