On August 15, 2020, Baba Talisha, his wife Milka, and their young daughter were returning home from a family photoshoot.

They were driving along Thika Road, a major highway in Kenya, when the accident happened. As they approached Kenyatta University, their car collided with a stationary vehicle that was parked on the roadside.

The parked vehicle had been left there without any warning lights or hazard signals, making it a severe hazard for other drivers.

The impact of the collision was catastrophic. Milka, who was seated in the front passenger seat, was thrown from the car and died instantly. Her final moments were spent trying to comfort her husband, as her last words were reportedly “Bae!” before she succumbed to her injuries.

Their daughter, who was seated in the back, was found lying unconscious next to her mother’s lifeless body. Baba Talisha, who had been unconscious in the aftermath of the crash, awoke to find himself in the wreckage.

He frantically searched for his family amidst the debris, only to discover the full extent of the tragedy. The emergency services arrived too late, and it took four agonizing hours before a Good Samaritan transported their daughter to Lifeline Hospital.

Community Support

In the wake of the accident, Baba Talisha faced unimaginable grief. His daughter, who sustained severe brain injuries, was immediately admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

A Heartfelt Tribute

Four years later, all Baba Talisha has of his wife is her memories.
