According to sources, it has come to light that the Azimio la Umoja team led by Kalonzo Musyoka is now insisting on the removal of Sabina Chege from her role as Deputy Minority Whip. This condition must be met before negotiations can proceed as they are dissatisfied with Chege’s rapid rise to the position after switching allegiance from Azimio to Ruto.
Given the context, such a demand likely has underlying reasons. The crucial question now is whether they will boycott the meeting entirely if Ruto doesn’t comply with their request. Azimio appears to be using the discussions as leverage to put pressure on Kenya Kwanza with these demands.
