TikTok star Jesse sunset sat down with the famous Roberts surfing family on Sydney’s northern beaches to celebrate Australia Day with an Australian beer taste test in a search for the country’s best and worst ales.

The digital maker and the beach legends of Avalon, who are just that popular in video sharing appshared their thoughts on Australia’s best and worst beers.

First up was surfer Blaze Angel Roberts, who admitted that she doesn’t drink alcohol but took part in the experiment with a bottle of Peroni without alcohol.

However, she was unimpressed with the booze-free beer offering, taking a sip and saying, “that’s disgusting.” Two out of ten!’

Next up was her surfing sibling Hunter Roberts drinking a bottle of Balter’s Cerveza, which she chose “because it was most like a Corona.”

‘Oh my god, tastes just like Corona!’ she exclaimed, comparing it to the popular Mexican beer.

Hunter then added her score of “eight out of ten,” saying she was impressed and “would recommend it.”

Family patriarch and legendary surfer Pete Roberts was next, but confessed he doesn’t have much taste for beer.

‘I’m not a beer drinker. I prefer bourbon,” he said, but he chose a Balter Lager to try, which he had never had before.

‘What does it matter? I give that a five,’ he said after a questionable sip.

‘It’s a bit bitter, but hey, all beer is bitter. It’s not Heineken and it’s not Sapporo,” he added, referring to beers he had previously enjoyed.

Robert’s matriarch Fee Roberts was next, skipping the beer for an alcoholic ginger ale from Mountain Goat.

‘Oh yum, that’s really nice. I like that. Nine out of ten!’ she said after tasting it, adding, “Just tastes like ginger beer.”

When explaining why she didn’t get an A for it, Fee said, “Because it’s not Canada Club,” meaning the popular brand of carbonated ginger beer.

“It’s quite warm in Australia, especially here in the summer, and you want a smooth, crisp, refreshing beer, and this is one of those,” he said, giving the Great Northern beer a score of nine out of ten.
