Amy Robach and TJ Holmes kept quiet about their lives for most of 2023, but according to a highlight reel shared on social media, they had a lot of laughs along the way.
“BTS our 2023, a year we couldn't fully share with everyone and a year we mostly stayed away from social media,” Amy, 50, and TJ, 46, wrote on their shared Instagram post on Sunday.
The couple said the first photo in the fast-moving clip was “one year ago today: NYE 2022.”
They describe the holiday as “a quiet, beautiful night spent at home… alone.” Happy and excited, but also anxious and uncertain about what the new year (2023) would bring.'

The pair wrote, “It turns out it brought us perspective, peace, opportunity, better health, improved relationships with those we love, and the joy of living an authentic life.”
The carousel features photos of the loved-up couple happily participating in two marathons and taking countless trips ranging from “The French Riviera to family dinners… from birthday celebrations with friends to the sidelines of SEC football.”
The former ABC journalists visited TJ's hometown of Fayetteville, Arkansas, where they attended a Razorbacks game.
Amy dressed in the team colors of red and black and wore black leather shorts with ankle boots and a red satin top. TJ looked dapper in a blue double-breasted jacket with a white button-down and blue and gray plaid pants.
The pair competed in two races together; the Brooklyn Half Marathon in May and the New York City Marathon in November
Referring to the drama that ensued after the former GMA 3 hosts' relationship came to light and their subsequent dismissal from ABC, they said, “What you will see here is us. The real us. The foolish us. The happy us. But also two people who found a way to dance during the storm.'
The windy seas the couple had to navigate brought with them threats arising from their interracial relationship. “I was stunned… There were some really hateful, horrible emails with death threats, specific death threats because I was with a black man,” Amy revealed on their new Amy and TJ podcast.
In an excerpt from their podcast, when asked about their relationship with each other's children, Amy responded that they were “evolving.”
In 2023, the couple enjoys traveling from “The French Riviera to family dinners…from birthday celebrations with friends to the sidelines of SEC football.”
The couple appeared to spend much of 2023 traveling, including trips to each other's hometowns. While in Arkansas, the couple took part in an Arkansas Razorbacks game with Amy dressed in the team colors of red and black.

“I had never experienced that before, and it was just a taste of what I have never had before, or never could, or never experienced before, and it was an eye-opener to say the least,” she admitted .
When asked by a fan why they didn't make their relationship clear when the rumors started, TJ explained that they followed advice from others to try to keep their jobs.
Both have denied cheating, claiming both their marriages were headed for divorce when they finally acknowledged their feelings for each other.
Amy was married to actor Andrew Shue, 56. She has two daughters, Ava, 21, and Annalize, 17, from her first marriage to former college baseball player Tim McIntosh.
TJ was married to Marilee Fiebig. The couple share Sabine, who turns 11 on January 6, and TJ is father to daughter Brianna and son Jaiden from his first marriage to fellow journalist Amy Ferson, aged about 45.
The couple has launched a new Amy and TJ podcast. In the early episodes, they revealed some of the challenges they face in their first year together, including death threats for being part of an interracial couple.
To accommodate the perhaps tender feelings that still existed among their loved ones, Amy spent Christmas with her daughters, while TJ knelt down to open presents with Sabine. It is unclear whether his older children were there.
As an added bonus, it looks like their ex-spouses, Andrew and Marilee, are dating.
With a new podcast and perspective, the couple ended their New Year's mission: “There can be so much light and joy, even through pain and uncertainty. It's the lessons we've learned along the way.”
