Maya Jama and Stormzy finally ended months of speculation by revealing they’ve rekindled their romance on Sunday, stepping out together hand-in-hand during a holiday in Greece.

The couple previously split in 2019 after four years together, but for months have sparked rumours of a reconciliation.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Maya and Stormzy had jetted to Greece together to celebrate the Love Island host’s birthday, with both sharing social media posts from the same £2,700-per-night Greek villa.

But, for weeks the pair had dropped hints that their relationship was back on, with festival meet-ups and cosy rendezvous at his house.

So, as Maya and Jama finally confirm they’re back together, MailOnline takes a look at all the signs that they’d rekindled their romance…

A friendly concert hug

Onlookers told how the pair later stood next to each other in the VIP area, enjoying each other’s company as they watched the US superstar.

The onlooker said: ‘Stormzy approached the VIP area in good spirits, looking cool with his hoodie over his head.

‘As soon as he saw Maya he approached her and they embraced, proving there is no bad blood between them.

‘After sharing a hug, Stormzy rejoined his party before returning to the VIP area later in the gig where Maya was standing.

‘They were seen laughing, joking and dancing together. It was like old times.’

That same month, Maya and Stormzy shared a kiss at the MTV European Music Awards in Dusseldorf, Germany.

They were said to have shared a kiss in Germany in the top tier VIP area at the MTV bash where there were no cameras allowed. 

A source told The Sun of the MTV EMAs: ‘Maya and Stormzy hooked up at one of the exclusive areas at the bash.

‘There were three levels of VIP area and they were in the top tier one. They were seen kissing and seemed totally into each other.

‘There was a strict no-camera policy which is why they seemed happy to be so open with their relationship.’

Leaving the GQ Awards minutes apart

Just weeks later, Maya and Stormzy both attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2022 in London and reportedly left within just minutes of each other. 

Stormzy was heard telling friends at the event that they were back together and spent ‘ages’ deep in conversation with Maya at the afterparty, according to The Sun. 

A source told the publication: ‘Stormzy and Maya are together again. They’re taking it slow but are very much back in each other’s lives after a long time when they didn’t speak or see each other.’ 

However a representative for Maya played down claims they’d reconciled, insisting she was very much single and ‘remained great friends’ with her ex.

‘The truth is she’s actually back in regular contact with Stormzy and has been heading to his house to meet up away from the spotlight. She visited him a couple of times before her recent holiday to Thailand and it sounds as though they’ve really clicked again.

‘The connection never went away. They’re both keen to tiptoe around it a bit rather than throw themselves into anything public but they’re enjoying being close again.’

Previously, Maya shared a brief clip of herself enjoying an Aperol Spritz, with fans clocking that both stars were sharing posts from the same villa. 

A source later told The Sun: ‘Stormzy is mad for Maya and has spent huge amounts of money taking her on a luxury holiday.

‘He chartered a private jet to Greece then they flew into the resort by helicopter. It’s all very romantic. The Amanzoe is incredibly pricey and they’ve been waited on hand and foot. 

‘It was Maya’s birthday earlier this month and this trip is a bit of a belated birthday present from Stormzy to Maya. She means the world to him and he wants her to be treated like a queen.’
