In June this year, it was announced that Graham Norton would be hosting the new reboot of Wheel of Fortune.

The 60-year-old talk show star will join the likes of Nicky Campbell, Bradley Walsh, John Leslie and Paul Hendry as frontman of the returning game show, which originally aired from 1988 to 2001.

In a statement, he said: 'I'm beyond excited to bring such an iconic American show to a new British audience.

'My very first TV job was a game show on ITV, so this feels like I've come full circle. You could even call it a wheel!'

As ITV teases, the show is a game of skill and luck, and each spin of the famous wheel will award a certain amount of money before the player chooses a letter to try to solve a puzzle.

However, it is a double-edged sword, as the wheel can also cause participants to 'go bankrupt' or 'lose a turn'.

Katie Rawcliffe – head of entertainment commissioning at ITV – added: “We're thrilled that the much-loved Graham Norton is bringing this iconic game show to our viewers.

'Anything can happen by turning a wheel, it will be so much fun.'
