Abel Mutua’s other brother Jesse Mwethuku aka Luku Baridi castigated their deceased sibling Raphael Mbuvi Musyoka aka Rapho whom he blamed for causing his own death.
In a statement on social media, Jesse fell short of confirming Rapho took his own life as he questioned his actions.
Jesse painfully recalled how he and Rapho endured a tough life together only for him to ‘do what he did’ when they were starting to eat life with a big spoon.
“Waah Rapho walai my G in your nxt life..usiwaipiga biz umepiga. We ni mtu bana tumekula noma kwani unasahau breakfast ilikua chai na sembe. Sasa sa zile tunataka kuomoka tukunywe sausage unafanya biashara gani G. Manze umeniacha kwa noma mbaya…ule mse ulihangaika nayeye maisha basic inasemekana jo nlikuwachilia G…waaaah,” Jesse wrote.
Jesse added that he found a stopwatch in Rapho’s pocket when his lifeless body was discovered, wondering why the deceased put an alarm to wake him up only to ‘do what he did’.
“Siku nlikuchukua ushago kama umededi nli ingia kwa mfuko yako…nikapata stop watch…mbna uka duu hvo…yaani unaweka alarm ikuamshe ndo ufanye kitu uliduu na we ni mtu tumekaa kwa shida pamoja huku ata consider watu tumehangaika na wewe ….manze sawa…Friday Buda,” Jesse wrote.
Jesse had earlier revealed that he first beat up his late brother in 2020 after the deceased arm-twisted their father who was trying to stop him from using drugs.
Death announcement
Abel Mutua, who is popularly known as Mkurugenzi, announced the death of his brother on December 28, 2023.
He shared the devastating news on social media without disclosing the cause of death.
Mkurugenzi posted a photo of a police Land Cruiser packed at a petrol station and said the vehicle was ferrying the lifeless body of his brother.
Law enforcement officers are mandated to collect bodies in instances where crime has occurred. Suicide is a crime in Kenya, Section 226 of the Penal Code, states that anyone who attempts to kill himself or herself is guilty of an offence. The punishment is two years in prison, a fine or both.
“In this truck lies the lifeless body of a once vibrant young man whose life has been tragically cut short at the tender age of 23. Rest in Peace my brother. We tried our best but I guess our best wasn’t good enough. Round 2 Brathe. 🕊️🕊️🕊️,” Abel Mutua wrote.
