This comes after the Senate upheld Gachagua’s impeachment on five grounds. Following his impeachment, President William Ruto nominated Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki to occupy the position.
Kindiki’s nomination was approved by the National Assembly on Friday, October 18, 2024.
However, Gachagua moved to court and obtained conservatory orders over his impeachment.
