An Elden Ring Nightrein player has managed to defeat a Nightlord solely by using a Wraith Calling Bell in a solo run.
There are so many things that can go wrong in Elden Ring Nightrein. Maybe you tried to resurrect your teammate, only to get knocked out yourself, with everything snowballing down right after. Sometimes, you might just be unlucky as your entire party gets swept when you least expect it.
Given how challenging the game is, it can be hard to survive until the third day even at the best of times. Though while that’s the case, it hasn’t stopped players from pulling off some interesting challenges like clearing the game at level 1.
Another challenge that’s recently been tackled by steamer Syrobe saw him completing a run only using a Wraith Calling Bell. If that’s not impressive enough, it’s worth noting that he played solo, too, without any help.
Elden Ring Nightrein player completes a solo run by only using the Wraith Calling Bell
For the uninitiated, the Wraith Calling Bell is an item that lets you summon small projectiles that slowly follow the enemy and damage them upon impact. You can ring the bell multiple times in a row, and it’ll consume your FP. Syrobe was lucky to find this earlier in the run near a gravesite.
It’s possible to beat a boss with a bell; you just have to be really patient.
To actually pull this whole challenge off, though, he played as Recluse, which is a solid pick since she can generate mana easily.
Throughout the run, he can be seen patiently ringing the bell as he dodges multiple enemies, including the Centipede Demon. It’s safe to say he can make it work, even all the way to the end, until he has to face off against Heolstor the Nightlord.
Again, with the right timing, he was able to dodge his lunges and other attacks while patiently ringing the bell. It took him eight whole minutes and about 80 times of spamming the bell at him to finally defeat him.
Was it worth it in the end? No doubt. But if you’re willing to try this challenge or strat out yourself, you’ll have to bear with the ringing sounds from the bell for the whole game.
