Disney Dreamlight Valley is diving into summer with an update packed with new characters, story content, events, and long-awaited quality-of-life improvements.
Following their recent Developer Update, the team previewed a rich slate of features coming to both the base game and the Storybook Vale Expansion.
Here’s a detailed look at what’s included in the latest free patch.
New content: Skull Rock, Peter Pan, and The Forgotten
- New story content continues the tale of the Forgotten, sending players deep into Skull Rock to uncover new secrets
- Peter Pan joins the Valley as a new Villager, with friendship quests, unique rewards, and a questline to rebuild his Dreamlight Lost Boys crew
- The Forgotten becomes a full Villager with hangout options, custom naming, and new friendship items
Seasonal events and gameplay - Adventures in Never Land Star Path brings pirate and mermaid-inspired outfits, decor, and Dream Styles for Goofy and Minnie
- Troves of Treasure event lets players hunt for maps, solve riddles, and earn unique treasure-themed rewards
- Summer Sizzle returns with marshmallows, new treats, and seasonal cosmetics
- Weekly DreamSnaps challenges themed around the Skull Rock update
Premium shop and new bundles
- River Kit bundle lets players design their own waterways
- Max from The Little Mermaid arrives as a new companion, able to help dig at nearby treasure spots
- Max Bundle includes nautical furniture and clothing items
- New seasonal Moonstone packs and rotating cosmetics added

Companion friendship system
- Companions now have friendship levels, unlocking rewards and perks as you spend time with them
- Different species collect specific resource types, including:
- Squirrels for fruits
- Rabbits for vegetables
- Turtles for seafood
- Sunbirds for flowers
- Foxes and crocodiles for fish
- Raccoons and whimsical creatures for gems
- Ravens for the soil
- Capybaras, snakes, and monkeys for timebending parts
- Owls, baby dragons, and pegasi for snippets
- Dogs for sticks
- Some named Disney companions offer special rewards at max level
- Players can nickname unnamed companions
- A new Collections Menu tab helps track all your critters
Decorating and building updates
- Path tiles can now be placed diagonally with an easy toggle between straight and diagonal modes
- The decorating grid has been expanded, offering more freedom to place items
- Player house styles can now be placed once in each expansion area, including on a floating island
Additional improvements
- Photo Mode adds seated poses and more retouching tools
- Memory shard drops are now guaranteed with each orb, unless that memory is complete
- More memory orb drops when watering dried flowers
- Premium Shop now shows six recommended bundles
- Uncrafting Station costs adjusted to make reclaiming materials easier
- Cross-save support arrives for PlayStation

- Fixed multiple quest progression blockers across quests like Furniture Fluster, Mannequin Madness, Monkey Business, and Teeny, Tiny Problems
- Resolved issues with disappearing or unreachable quest items
- Corrected visuals, clipping, and UI issues across various assets, including the Spirit Water Curtain and Alice’s house on iOS
- Fixed crafting, memory, and inventory glitches
- Cheshire Cat and companion animation bugs fixed
- Various audio improvements and minor bug fixes throughout the game
