A woman has sparked outrage on social media after she was filmed spreading her brother’s ashes into a swimming pool at an Ibiza club.
Sharing a post to her TikTok, the woman appears to be dancing along to the music in a pool filled with others, before appearing to pour a dusty grey powder.
This incident occurred at the popular party venue, Ushuaia.
The woman then smiles and laughs it off, seeming unbothered by the video’s caption: “Just me sprinkling my brother about Ushuaia.”
The video went viral after it was first posted to TikTok and was later shared onto X, formerly known as Twitter.
The clip received a lot of backlash, with many left disgusted by the woman’s actions.
“WTF?” one person commented.
“Just seen a bird sprinkling her brother’s ashes in the Ushuaia pool. That’s enough social media for today,” another declared.
However, there were some who didn’t see anything wrong with the woman’s actions, with one person commenting that they “wouldn’t mind having my ashes scattered at Ushuaia.”
Others have raised an important question: How did she manage to smuggle the vial past security in the first place?
According to LADbible, the person who originally posted the video to X claims to have been contacted by the venue and asked to take the video down from social media “immediately.”
Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel is an adults-only venue within the seaside resort of Playa d’en Bossa and is massively popular with tourists.
