Director, manufacturer, author and Yizo Yizo co-creator Teboho Mahlatsi, who was once an organization director at Bomb Productions has died. He was once 49.

Teboho Mahlatsi is a Director of Shelter Films (Pty) Ltd. He has written, produced and directed numerous tasks together with the documentary Slum Diary for SABC Education TV, the South African instructional broadcaster.

His debut function Portrait of a Drowned Young Man (1999) gained the Silver Lion on the Venice Film Festival (1999). He co-wrote and directed 3 seasons of South African tv phenomenon Yizo Yizo, the highest-rated teenager drama in South African tv historical past. “Yiso Yiso” gained Best International Series on the Cinema Tout Ecran Awards.

His different credit come with Meet South Africa. Meet Bheki: The Mbako Maker (2017); Shuga (2009–2012), Sekalli le Meokgo (Meokgo and the Stick Fighter) (2006); A-Z – A Review of Post-Apartheid South Africa (2001); Ungshaya Ding Dong ( 2000); and Black Lives within the White City (1997).

He was once the recipient of the once a year Tribute Entertainment Achievement Award (2002) and a USIBA Award (2018) for his pioneering paintings within the audiovisual and artistic fields.

Mahlatsi finished a movie and tv route on the African Cultural Center in Johannesburg (1993)
