The Post has found that a Democratic candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates susanna gibson engaged in online sex acts with her husband leaked video while soliciting “tips” from her online audience.
According to screenshots of older content examined by The Post, Susanna Gibson, a mother of two small children competing in a tough fight to represent District 57 in Richmond, displayed a lot more than just her skin on the adult streaming website Chaturbate.
The Washington Post was the first to disclose that the 40-year-old nurse practitioner held more than a dozen of the live romps with her spouse on the platform, which were subsequently added to a publicly viewable archive on the website Recurbate in September 2022 after she announced her campaign.
The unusual candidate had more than 5,770 Chaturbate subscribers, to whom she persistently demanded further “tokens” in exchange for specific acts in “private” showings, while also claiming that she was “raising money for a good cause.”
In earlier videos, she said that because she and her husband are “ethically non-monogamous,” they had “tried swapping” with various partners but that he “doesn’t like sharing.”
After the tokens were delivered, Gibson frequently thanked her audience, and at least once, her lawyer husband echoed her sentiments. In accordance with Chaturbate’s terms of service, “Requesting or demanding specific acts for tips may result in a ban from the Platform for all parties involved.”

Gibson described the publicly available films as “an illegal invasion of my privacy intended to humiliate me and my family” in a statement to The Washington Post.
Gibson declared, “It won’t scare me and it won’t silence me. “My political rivals and their Republican allies have shown they are willing to commit a sex crime to attack me and my family because there is no limit to what they will do to silence women when they speak out,” they said.

The recordings, according to the candidate’s attorney, Daniel P. Watkins, violated Virginia’s revenge porn law, which makes it a Class 1 misdemeanor to “maliciously” disseminate sexual images or another person’s nudity with “intent to coerce, harass, or intimidate.”
The attorney highlighted a 2021 decision by the Virginia Appeals Court that stated it was unlawful for a man to surreptitiously record his girlfriend during a consensual sexual contact, even if the footage was never shown to anyone else.
Watkins added, “We are collaborating closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement.”
An inquiry for comment was not immediately answered by her campaign.
For the November 7 election, Gibson will face off against former home builder David Owen, a Republican, as Democrats look to take back control of the 100-member Virginia House.

The lower chamber is currently under Republican control by three delegates, 49 to 46. 22 to 18 in favor of Democrats in the state Senate.
According to the campaign finance website the Virginia Public Access Project, Gibson started her campaign in July 2022 and has since raised $376,895 in contrast to the $339,621 raised by the Owen campaign.
She faced off against Bob Shippee in the June 20 Democratic primary, but she still only has $77,435 in cash on hand. After being unopposed, Owen has kept $166,179 of his money.
