Prior to being detained on suspicion of planning committing criminal damage to ULEZ cameras, Laurence Fox was seen smoking a cigar in his chair during a police raid.

Calvin Robinson, a third presenter, was then suspended for publicly endorsing Wootton online.

Following the broadcast, the chief executive of Ofcom recognized there are “real issues around misogyny” in public discourse in an interview with Sky News’ Sophy Ridge.

Later, Wootton, a columnist for MailOnline, was informed that his contract had been terminated.

His regular column was originally paused in August while the publication investigated allegations he used a pseudonym and offered colleagues money for sexual material.

Laurence Fox has been sacked from GB News following an investigation into on-air comments he made about female journalist Ava Evans, which received more than 8,000 Ofcom complaints.

Actor-turned-politician Fox underwent a disciplinary hearing with the broadcaster after he made a series of personal remarks about political correspondent, Ms Evans, including asking “who would want to s*** that?”.

GB News has since announced that it has “ended its employment relationship with Laurence Fox”.

“As of today, GB News has ended its employment relationship with Laurence Fox and Calvin Robinson.

“The internal investigation into Dan Wootton continues.”

Wootton, who has since apologised, was also suspended by GB News amid an internal investigation and a probe by Ofcom.

On Wednesday, the media watchdog said it has received a total of 8,846 complaints about the episode of Wootton’s show on September 26.

It comes after GB News boss Angelos Frangopoulos said he was “appalled” by the remarks, adding that they were not in keeping with the values of the channel.

Since the broadcast, MailOnline announced it had terminated its contract with Wootton, who was a columnist for the site.
