Metea Valley girls’ badminton hosted Naperville North in the final week of the regular season, and Xu’s skills stole the spotlight.
Serving later in the set, Xu forced her opponent into a backhanded lob, resulting in a powerful smash that not only hit the net but toppled over for the point. Xu’s precision and agility were on full display.
Facing off against Metea’s Vivian Kok, Shannon Xu exhibited remarkable reflexes and reactions on each return. From a full 360-degree turn to a stretching dive, Xu displayed incredible athleticism, managing to dig out shots that seemed impossible. Her performance on the court is nothing short of extraordinary, making her a must-watch player every time she steps onto the badminton court.
