Richard Michael Duffy, born on August 30, 1985, is a retired Welsh professional footballer currently serving as the player-manager for the Midland League Premier Division club, Congleton Town. Known for his versatility in playing either on the right or at the center of defence, Duffy earned 13 caps for Wales between 2005 and 2008. He is the younger sibling of Robert Duffy.

Duffy initiated his football journey with Swansea City, making his debut at the age of 16 in December 2001. He secured a substantial six-figure move to Premier League side Portsmouth in January 2004. Despite his talent, he faced challenges breaking into the first team at Fratton Park, leading to loan spells at Burnley, Coventry City, and his former club Swansea. In February 2009, he switched to Millwall and later signed with Exeter City in July 2009. His journey continued with Port Vale in July 2012, contributing to the team’s promotion from League Two in the 2012–13 season. After four years with Port Vale, he joined Notts County via Eastleigh in June 2016, and later, in August 2019, he became part of Kidsgrove Athletic.

Retiring from professional play, Duffy ventured into coaching at Congleton Town in May 2020. A year later, he assumed the role of the club’s manager.
