A video of a retired college professor making outrageous and offensive remarks to a Hispanic street vendor is going viral on social media.

Jeanne Umana, a retired law professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara, has been identified as the woman in the video.

Does Jeanne Umana sound familiar to you?

In an incident that occurred on September 16th, the retired University of California Santa Barbara professor was caught on video calling a construction worker a “Tijuanan” and many other offensive remarks.

Soon after many people saw the viral video, a protest led by Alex Enamorado took place at Umana’s house. Umana did eventually apologize for her actions on the September 16th incident.

According to KSBY, the Santa Barbara Police Department has referred the case to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of criminal charges against Umana, including trespassing, battery on a person, and hate crime.

Jeanne Umana is currently facing no charges or consequences for her behavior in either viral video.
