Prime Video announced today that it has ordered a 10-episode third season of the global hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty.
The drama series is based on Jenny Han‘s best-selling book trilogy and has been a breakout success, performing especially well with young female viewers.
The second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is one of the top ten most-watched seasons of any show on the service.
The second season premiered on July 14 and quickly more than doubled Season One’s viewership.

Season Three was approved prior to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Season Three will not begin until labor negotiations with those unions are completed.
Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka are the showrunners for The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3. Executive producers for wiip include Han, Kucserka, and Karen Rosenfelt, as well as Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen, and Paul Lee. Amazon Studios and wiip collaborated on the series.
The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational drama about a love triangle involving one girl and two brothers, the ever-changing relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It’s a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of one summer.
The Summer I Turned Pretty’s second season is now available on Prime Video, with new episodes released weekly until the season finale on Friday, August 18, 2023.
Season Three of the Amazon Original series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
