Renowned director SS Rajamouli is gearing up for his next big project, with the charismatic Superstar Mahesh Babu set to take the lead role. The film is rumored to be an enthralling Jungle Adventure, unfolding against the backdrop of Africa. The foundational script has been locked in, and Rajamouli, along with his dedicated team, is putting the finishing touches on the project. Pre-production is slated to commence early next year, with shooting scheduled to kick off in April 2024. Mahesh Babu will undergo thorough training in preparation for his role in this ambitious production.
Rajamouli is also in negotiations with a couple of prominent Hollywood studios for collaboration, as the film is intended to have a worldwide release in multiple international languages. Rajamouli is even contemplating some changes in his technical crew, with early reports suggesting that cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar is to be replaced by PS Vinod. The film will be graced by the musical talents of MM Keeravani, and it will also feature the expertise of several Hollywood technicians in bringing this jungle adventure to life. Having previously worked together in “Athadu” and “Khaleja,” Mahesh and Trivikram are reuniting after a 12-year hiatus. Their forthcoming venture, “Guntur Kaaram,” is anticipated to be a high-octane masala action entertainer. Mahesh Babu recently unveiled a poster from the film, where he exudes style, sporting a shirt and kaili (a regional term for a lungi) paired with sunglasses. However, this poster drew mixed reactions, as it depicted Mahesh smoking.
The first single from the film, titled “Dum Masala,” is set to release on Tuesday. Additionally, “Guntur Kaaram” is rumored to have struck an impressive Rs 18 crore deal with Netflix for an OTT release, though official confirmation is still pending.
Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, “Guntur Kaaram” promises to be a rural action-drama and stars Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads. The film also features Jagapathi Babu in a villainous role and boasts an ensemble cast that includes Ramya Krishnan, Jayaram, Prakashraj, and Sunil. Thaman is composing the music for the film, which is eagerly awaited by fans and is slated for release on January 13.
