Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson in talks for record-breaking $200million radio deal following continued ratings domination

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson are allegedly preparing to walk if they can’t strike a new lucrative deal with their Australian Radio Network (ARN) bosses.

The radio duo have allegedly demanded a 100% raise from their current $5million per year salaries, to a shocking $10million per year – making it the biggest deal in Australian radio history.

Over the course of a 10-year contract, the pay increase would net them a combined $200million, reported The Daily Telegraph on Saturday.

The record-breaking deal would carry the shock jock team through to the end of 2034 and make them the highest paid radio hosts in the country.

With other radio veterans such as Ray Hadley, Amanda Keller and Carrie Bickmore only earning up to $3.5million a year, Kyle, 52, and Jackie O, 48, will reign supreme.

The demands reportedly don’t stop there as the long-time friends seek to dominate other markets outside their predominantly Sydney-based audience.

With another 15 months to go on their contracts, the pair are allegedly pushing for less censorship as they try to take a foothold in the Melbourne market.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to ARN as well as Kyle’s manager, who declined to comment.

It’s unclear how much truth there is to the speculation as Kyle has previously slammed both his current and former bosses at ARN and SCA (Southern Cross Austereo).

In 2022, the furious radio host unleashed on his own KIIS FM radio station in an eight-minute rant over what he perceived as a snub by the company’s PR team.

He was angry over the poor press coverage The Kyle and Jackie O Show’s historic ratings triumph received at the time.

‘I am sick and tired of working here. Everyone is a loser, except for everyone on this show. Everyone else outside of this show is a massive loser. I am not joking,’ he said.

In 2021, he slammed his former network 2DAY FM when his radio show surpassed 2GB’s Ben Fordham to become the No. 1 breakfast radio show in Sydney.

When asked by former Sunrise host David Koch if his success was the ‘ultimate revenge’, Kyle joked that his former bosses were so poor they couldn’t afford phones.

In March, The Kyle and Jackie O Show held its spot as Sydney’s top-rating FM breakfast radio program in the first ratings survey of 2023.

The show, hosted by long-time duo Kyle and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, drew a 15.9 per cent audience share.

The KIIS FM dream team attracted an impressive 842,000 listeners, continuing their reign as Australia’s most listened-to radio show in history.

Kyle said on air on Thursday: ‘We have broken another record. It’s almost embarrassing. Guinness won’t even take our calls. They’re like, “Not another record!”

‘The Kyle and Jackie O radio show has the highest market share of our entire record of being on air. We have eclipsed Ben Fordham – he’s dead. We’re on a 15.9 per cent share and I can feel the blood running into my willy now. That’s how excited I am.’
