MARINA DEL RAY, CALIFORNIA: Elon Musk, who recently rebranded Twitter as X and is known for sharing memes on his social media platform posted a meme poking fun at renowned rapper Ice Cube.

However, things took an interesting turn when the rapper fired back at Musk’s post, causing a stir on the internet.

What did Elon Musk tweet?

Musk tweeted a collage showing the rapper on the left and a glass water of water on the right, with the caption. “Remember Ice Cube? This is him now, feel old yet?”

However, Ice Cube didn’t let this slide and responded in a similar format.

The rapper shared an image with the old Twitter logo on one side and a dumpster on fire on the other, captioning it, “Remember Twitter? This is it now, feel stupid yet?”

Ice Cube’s comeback received widespread praise from the internet, with many social media users declaring him the victor of this humorous exchange.

Internet lauds Ice Cube’s response to Elon Musk’s tweet

Ice Cube was lauded for his response. Many likened the rapper’s response to an “Uno reverse card.”

A user wrote, “Ice Cube can’t take a joke sheesh.” Another wrote, “Dang…he roasted Elon hard!” A third commented, “But he’s using X to roast Twitter lol. It really hasn’t changed for the negative at all either.”

Other commented on Musk’s meme saying, “Old meme, do better.” Another wrote, “J.Cole after seeing Elon make both Millions and memes”.

Ice Cube accused of being antisemitic

Ice Cube, known for his controversial track ‘No Vaseline’ targeting NWA group members and manager Jerry Heller, found himself at the center of a different kind of controversy on X.

In response, the rapper defended his actions, asserting that he was merely expressing pro-Black sentiments and truths while denying any antisemitic intentions behind his posts.

In 2022, after Musk acquired Twitter, Cube called upon the billionaire to address what he perceived as a “shadow ban” on his account.
