Executive producers Luke Campbell, Jermaine Dupri, and 21 Savage have teamed up with Mass Appeal and Swirl Films to create a documentary that promises to be a joyous tribute to Freaknik, the iconic event that left an everlasting stamp on Atlanta’s cultural scene.

Freaknik, which originated in the rowdy 1980s and 1990s, was more than simply a party; it was a cultural movement. What began as a Black college picnic quickly grew into a gigantic festival that drew hundreds of thousands of people, temporarily converting Atlanta into a thriving celebration center. However, amidst tales of highway couplings and famous late-night parties, Freaknik met its fate, which occurred over two decades ago.
