It’s become somewhat of a tradition before each new Fortnite season, and this time around, a leak occurred when Xbox briefly displayed an image revealing the battle pass for Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 1 Underground. This upcoming season follows Sunday’s Big Bang finale event for the original map.
The leaked skin page showcases some Fortnite originals, a super spy, and a legendary Fortnite IP crossover that fans have speculated about for years. Notably, the crossover includes Solid Snake and Peter Griffin, adding to Fortnite’s extensive collection of IP crossovers. Solid Snake, a video game legend, coincides with Konami’s recent release of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection. Peter Griffin, on the other hand, is a surprising addition, fulfilling a long-awaited dream hinted at years ago when files from Family Guy were found buried in the game.
While Family Guy may not be as relevant as it was in 1999 (checked Wikipedia), it continues to run today, reaching season 22 as a FOX animation staple alongside iconic shows like The Simpsons.
The additional skins, featuring the frontman and the blade-wielding tiger, appear to have been drawn from past surveys. Fortnite regularly sends out numerous potential skin ideas to players, gauging preferences before refining and incorporating them into the game. This time, a noteworthy five of these suggested skins have made it into the battle pass.
