Online videos appear to show the mutilation of a female Armenian soldier during this week’s battle by Azerbaijani forces. The woman in issue was fatally injured during the fighting near the Armenia-Azerbaijan border on September 13–14, according to a confirmation from the Armenian Ministry of Defense on Friday.

The footage, allegedly shot by an Azerbaijani soldier, depicts several bodies of Armenian forces, including two female soldiers. One of the women has been completely exposed, her breasts and stomach covered in writing. She has a severed finger in her mouth and a stone in her eye socket.

Look at the bitch, there are two women, the Azerbaijani man photographing the scene remarks. She turned into a rock.

On Friday, when foreign diplomats were in the resort town of Jermuk in the southern Vayots Dzor Province, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces discussed the video. Azerbaijani troops took over positions close to the town during the conflict, and the town was the target of their fire.

Edward Asryan informed the ambassadors that “they committed atrocities in our combat positions against our servicemembers, including women servicemembers.” He said, “I can’t find words to describe how they dismembered a female soldier, cut off her legs, and fingers, stripped her naked, this is the ultimate level of cruelty,” and he said he would show them the video.

Around midnight on September 12-13, fighting broke out along the shared border between Armenia and Azerbaijan when Azerbaijani forces started airstrikes and ground assaults into Armenia, primarily focusing on military installations and populated areas. ‘Provocations’ by Armenia, according to Azerbaijan, prompted the attacks.

After Armenia reported that a truce had been reached, it came to an end. The US government ‘played a big role’ in ending the fighting, according to Yerevan. The deal has not been formally accepted by the Azerbaijani side.

The two-day conflict was distinct from many earlier conflicts between the two nations in that Nagorno-Karabakh was not involved. In contrast to previous conflicts, the majority of the international community, mainly Western nations, appeared to single out Azerbaijan as the perpetrator and urged them to stop their attacks.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken condemned the strikes within Armenia and urged President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan to “cease the hostilities” and “disengage military forces” as fighting raged on Wednesday.

Blinken vowed to “deal with the issue” personally and assist in bringing the situation back to normal during a phone discussion with Nikol Pashinyan, the prime minister of Armenia.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a further senior US politician, is allegedly planning a weekend trip to Armenia to ‘show support’ for the nation. She hasn’t mentioned any other trips to the area.

Additionally, France has criticized Azerbaijan. The French envoy asked Azerbaijan to withdraw its forces from Armenian territory and “respect Armenia’s territorial integrity” at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Thursday.

Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Armenia’s deputy foreign minister, told Armenpress that the Security Council resolution’s adoption was now under consideration.

Russia, a longtime strategic partner of Armenia, responded less forcefully, calling for an end to hostilities on “both sides.”

Due to a bilateral agreement and their participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Russia is obligated to support Armenia militarily in the case of an assault on its territory. The CSTO deployed just a fact-finding mission, which arrived in Armenia on Friday, despite Armenia’s request for assistance.

Armen Grigoryan, the secretary of the Armenian Security Council, declared that the nation ‘does not have any more hope’ that the defense mechanisms of the treaty would be activated to assist Armenia.
