Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon will be away from the team for an undetermined period after being bitten by a dog on Christmas Day.
The bite resulted in serious lacerations to his face as well as his shooting hand (right).
These injuries required Gordon to go to the hospital, where he received 21 stitches, according to Shams Charania.

Denver tells Charania that Gordon is currently in good condition and will be away from the team as his recovery continues.

Gordon amassed 16 points and 10 rebounds on 7-of-10 shooting in Denver’s Christmas Day win over the Warriors.
The Nuggets (22-10) were off Dec. 26 but held practice Wednesday at Ball Arena.
Gordon is averaging 13.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game this season, shooting 52.5% from the field and 25% from 3-point range.
